General Instructions :-

Patients are kindly requested to inform about their current illness, allergy, medications, pregnancy, breast feeding, major accidental history, unpleasant surgical experiences, or any other medical; related conditions to front desk staff as well as to the doctors without any fail. if not done they are responsible for the mishap, if anything goes wrong due to missed information

What is Informed consent ?

The patient’s or guardian’s written consent for the surgery is a vital portion of preoperative care. The physician who will perform the procedure must explain the risks and benefits of the surgery, along with other treatment options. The patient who consents to have surgery, particularly surgery that requires a general anesthetic, renders himself dependent on the knowledge, skill, and integrity of the health care team. In accepting this trust, the health care team members have an obligation to make the patient’s welfare their first consideration during the surgical experience.

Pre-Operative :-

1) Blood sugar, blood pressure & thyroid levels should be under control prior to surgery. (Consult physician for the same)

2) Start taking prescribed medications 2 days prior to the date of surgery or as instructed by the doctor.

3) Patients should have heavy breakfast or meal 1hr prior to coming for surgery

4) Patient should avoid all health hazardous habits (if any) like smoking, alcohol consumptions, tobacco chewing or use of mishri 48 hrs. Prior to surgery & 72hrs past surgery.

5) Patient should be accompanied by close friend or relative on the day of surgery.

6) Kindly refrain from using any kind of make up or cosmetics on the day of surgery. It may lead to contamination.

7) Patient should be present in clinic premises 15-20 mins before the surgery timing to avoid anxiety.

Appointment & Payment Instruction

1) Kindly book respective surgeon’s appointment at least 3 days prior.

2) Appointments will be confirmed only after receiving 30-50% advance of the total treatment amount.

3) Advance amount won’t be refunded on cancellation of appointments or if delay in appointment which is more than 20-25 mins.





4) Kindly do not reschedule surgeon appointments.

5) Discounts are applicable only if patients stick to the payment schedule strictly.

6) Discounts will be given as per mentioned on www.ar32.in No custom discounts will be made.

Post-operative Do’s & Don’ts


1) Do not leave hospital premises immediately after extraction.

2) Relax for 10-15 min and then patient can go home accompanied by family person or friend.

3) Do not self-ride bike or drive car to go home.

4) Do not talk or try to remove the bite gauze at the site of surgery

5) Do not displace bite gauze for next 45 min after surgery. Bite it firmly for 45 min, then remove it & dispose properly.

6) Do not change cotton at home also do not try to see extraction site in mirror or stretch and show site to others at home.

7) Do not keep the cotton (Bite gauze) for more than 45 min. It may lead to Dry socket.

8) Avoid eating till the effect of anaesthesia goes off completely as patient may end up biting lips, tongue or cheeks accidentally.

9) Patient may consume liquid diet till the effect of anaesthesia goes off. Do not consume hot & spicy beverages.

10) Do not touch the operated site with fingers, tongue or by any other means.

11) Blood may keep oozing for 24-48 hrs. Patients are advised to swallow the blood. Spitting should be strictly avoided.

12) Refrain from using straw, smoking, mouth rinsing, spitting saliva or blood, brushing, consumption of alcoholic beverages, tobacco consumption for next 24 hrs. It can lead to complications.

13) Once the effect of anaesthesia is over, patient can start taking soft diet.

14) Do not eat hot / spicy / hard / fried / sticky food or beverages for 2-3 days (Do not eat semolina or suji / rawa like products).

15) Patient can eat plain ice cream. Avoid eating ice creams with nuts or any other granules. Patient can also drink plain juices or milk shakes.

16) Patient should avoid all types of health hazardous habits like tobacco chewing / smoking / alcohol consumption for at least 4-5 days after surgery.

17) Patients are advised to complete the course of prescribed medicines.

18) Apply ice pack 20 mins ( on & off ) to the jaw externally immediately after returning home & repeat it 3-4 times a day if required.

19) After 24 hrs of surgery mouth & surgical site should be rinsed gently with lukewarm saltwater / saline solution.

20) Some bruising, swelling, slight pain & discomfort, tightness & stiffness to jaw & joint areas is common particularly if you had a wisdom tooth extraction. In complicated surgeries reduced mouth opening is also prevalent.

21) Avoid exertion or over strainful activities or do not lift weight, babies or children. Try to take rest for 24 hrs. (Not bed rest).

22) Patients should visit for follow up or suture removal (stitches removal) after 8 days of surgery.

23) Call or visit doctor if patient suffers severe pain, swelling, bleeding, low blood pressure or palpitations.

24) Strictly refrain yourself from any kind of home remedies or superstitious remedies.
